2023 Innovation and Entrepreneurship of China's MEMS Competition

Contest Introduction

The past few years have seen an unprecedented development of China’s MEMS industry, with ever growing scale, diversifying portfolio of products and excellent global companies and innovative products emerging one after another. Competitions offer an ideal platform for the integration of innovative MEMS resources and capabilities in China, which facilitates the improvement of innovation efficiency and capabilities, commercialization of innovation outcomes, launch of quality start-up projects, conversion of scientific and technological achievements and coordinated development of big, medium and small companies. As a result, excellent enterprises and innovative products are able to stand out more quickly. In order to give full play to this platform, the MEMS Branch of China Semiconductor Industry Association, in partnership with multiple institutes and companies, will continue to host this competition since last year and this brand has been upgraded to 2023 Innovation and Entrepreneurship of China's MEMS Competition, where a number of promising start-ups and innovative projects will be selected and get market recognition sooner, therefore moving forward by leaps and bounds.

Targeted Participants

Companies or teams engaged in MEMS research and design, tape-out, test run, packaging and testing, mass production, end-use and other sections of the industrial chain.

  • “2023 China MEMS Industry`s Most Investment Value Award”

    Requirements for Participation


    Requirements for participants of the 2023 China MEMS Industry`s Most Investment Value Award: total income of MEMS products up to RMB 50 million, non-publicly listed, good social reputation, no bad records, no IP lawsuits, medium and small companies/ teams engaging in MEMS research and design, tape-out, test run, packaging and testing, mass production, end-use and other sections of the industrial chain.


  • “2023 China MEMS Industry`s Innovative Product Award”

    Requirements for Participation

    Requirements for participants of 2023 China MEMS Industry`s Innovative Product Award: successfully developed in the last two years (or a new version released in the last two years that have significant improvements from its previous version), with independent intellectual properties / unique technological advantages / workable MEMS product prototypes, including but not limited to products in fields of mechanics, electrical engineering, magnetism, thermology, optics, acoustics, chemistry, biology, printing head, radio frequency, etc.

  • Finalist Award（20）

    Exhibition booth：all finalists will receive one (1) nine Sqm standard exhibition booth in the China MEMS –International MEMS and Transducers Exhibition.

    Training： two memberships for participating in the training class of MEMS Manufacturing Association, unlimited training sessions, valid for two years.

    Tape-out Subsidy and Clean Room Leasing Aid：finalists successfully settled in SIP can receive up to 1 million subsidy for tape-out. MEMS product tape-out done in the public platform of SIP can have a 40% discount in price; each qualified MEMS companies using the open-to-public high-grade cleanrooms(class 1000, class 100) can receive lease subsidy up to 100 yuan/month/square meters, no longer than three years (subject to the officially released policies).


  • Winning Prizes（12）

    Cash rewards provided for winning companies, including 50000 for the first prize, 30000 for second prizes and 10000 for third prizes.

    Winning companies successfully settled in SIP will have access to the green passage for applying for the SIP Technology Pioneering Talents Policy and directly enter the final round of interview. Multiple favorable policies will be provided, including up to 10 million incentive for growth, 10 million investment in equity, 5 million three-year loan support, 50% interest subsidized loan, house purchasing subsidy, three-year rent reduction and cancellation, etc. (subject to the officially released policies).
